ABOUT ME

I am the Founder of Jessica Warta Career Coaching, an executive resume writer, career strategist and former JPMorgan Human Resources, Talent Management & Recruiting leader.

Before launching my private practice in 2018, my career spanned Wall Street, Human Resources, Talent Management and Recruiting, giving me a distinct perspective on how organizations evaluate talent and how professionals need to position themselves and communicate their value to recruiters, hiring managers and the professional networks that often influence hiring decisions.

At JPMorgan, I spent more than five years in Human Resources, Recruiting and Talent Management, including leading large-scale Analyst and MBA recruiting and development programs supporting 150–300 hires annually. I joined the firm following my MBA from Columbia Business School as an Executive Recruiter, recruiting for Analyst through Vice President-level roles across Corporate Functions including Corporate Strategy, Marketing & Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Corporate Real Estate. That experience gave me firsthand insight into how employers assess candidates, identify talent and make hiring and development decisions.

Today, I bring that perspective to my work with professionals across industries, functions and career stages, from students and emerging professionals through senior executives, C-suite and leadership team members.

My work extends well beyond writing career documents. I help clients identify and communicate the business value behind their experience, clarify what differentiates them in the market, understand how they are likely to be evaluated by recruiters and hiring managers, and strategically position themselves for their next opportunity. That positioning carries across the entire career process, from resume and LinkedIn strategy to networking, interview preparation, job search strategy, career transitions and offer decisions.

I began my career in Investment Banking M&A at Rothschild and later worked in Equity and Fixed-Income Research at CRT Capital before completing my MBA at Columbia Business School and transitioning into Human Resources, Recruiting and Talent Management at JPMorgan.

That finance foundation continues to shape the way I work with clients today. I look beyond job titles and responsibilities to understand the business story, measurable impact, strategic contribution and evidence behind a client's experience, then translate that into clear, credible market positioning.

I am based in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and work directly with clients locally and nationwide through private, one-on-one engagements, either virtually or from my office at 45 North Broad Street in downtown Ridgewood.
